How involved is replacement window installation?
Replacement windows are custom made to fit into the existing frame without damaging surrounding trim, wallpaper, paint or plaster.

No. However we do need access to the inside of the home for window installation. Replacement windows are installed from the inside of the home. What do I have to do to prepare for the installation? Some of our customers prefer to remove certain items themselves. We will move the furniture if necessary and remove any blinds/window shades that might be in the way of the installation. Blind or curtain hardware that is not obstructing the window opening does not have to be removed. If the window blinds/shades are able to be reinstalled as they were originally attached, we will reinstall them for you. If for any reason they are not compatible with your new windows, we will not be able to reinstall them. How long will the total installation take? If your existing window frames are wood, we average eight windows per day. If your existing window frames are metal, we average four windows per day. Optional exterior vinyl clad aluminum trim work usually takes an additional hour per window to complete working from the outside after all of the windows are installed. If your old windows are metal we sometimes wrap from the inside before installing the new window which can greatly reduce the speed of installation (sometimes down to two windows per day). |

How long will my house be open to the weather?
Each window that we remove will be replaced in a professional manner before we install the next window.
Will I have to paint or spackle after the installation?
When we reinstall the interior window stop there may be some minor touch-up painting needed.
Will I have to arrange for disposal of the old windows?
No. We will remove the old windows and clean all the debris from the job site.
